Corn Chaat Inspired Dip

This corn chaat inspired dip is another one of those recipes that we hostesses love - five minutes to make, delicious, a quick coffee table nibble to a more labor intensive dinner.
I made this with frozen corn because it is not corn season yet, but made with fresh summer corn this is even more delicious.
1 10 oz package of frozen corn kernels or about 2 cups of fresh corn (about 3-4 cobs)
1/4 cup red onion, very finely chopped
1 jalapeno, very finely chopped
1/3 cup sour cream
2 tsps garam masala
1 tsp Indian chili powder
1/2 tsp fresh ground ginger
Salt to taste
I used the corn raw as I like how fresh this makes the dip taste but, if you find that concept strange, you can blanch the corn first.
Just combine all the ingredients in a bowl and use an immersion blender to break down the corn into a a chunky dip and combine the ingredients.
Taste to adjust seasoning and serve with crudites and / or tortilla chips.
