It is easy enough to just buy the readymade variety, sure. But the homemade kind takes under five minutes to make and is infinitely more delicious and vibrant than any of the ready made varieties that I have bought in the past. I use this at least once a week in the summer months (your cold poached shrimp will thank you), but it is a nice touch around the holidays as part of a seafood platter.
Makes about half a cup of sauce.
1/2 cup ketchup
1 Tbsp prepared horseradish
2 tsps Worcestershire sauce
Juice from 1/2 lemon
Stir together.
Adjust for seasoning.
Done.
